New York Yankees: Bernie Williams seems to have vanished without the Yanks giving him a proper farewell. Why?
Many Yankees fans do feel that Bernie wasn't treated properly when the Yankees offered him a minor league contract which he declined. They though that after all the service he'd given to the Yankees, this lifelong Yankee should've been treated better. In fact Bernie himself has expressed some disappointment about this, but for the most part he has stayed on good terms with the Yankees organization.
As far as a proper farewell, well some think that that hasn't come because his days as a Yankee may not be over. There is still talk of a Bernie Williams comeback to the Yankees, and many fans think he could still be a help as a pinch hitter or a fourth outfielder.
